THE BASKERVILLE

The Baskerville Challenge is a three hour walk
across the treacherous Great Grimpen Mire.
After a short briefing by Mr Sherlock Holmes, follow the riddles to safety points in the mire and discover the
origins of some of the stories, myths and legends
of the wild wilderness of Dartmoor.
No fancy terms are used in the year 1900 so common sense, logic and clear, concise communication is required. But, how will the group fare surrounded by bottomless bog and the grizzly remains of animals lost to the mire? There is only one way to find out...will everyone arrive safely at the correct picnic point? Don’t be a ‘Jack Stapleton’ who sank without a trace but work together to stay ‘on top’ of the situation.

Equipment Needed
Wellington boots or stout walking boots,
waterproofs, water.
Mr Holmes would be advised to stay well away from water
